Dr. Yousef Abd Algani

The Academic Arab College for Education in Israel, Haifa

Dr. Yousef Methkal Abd Algani, born in Nahef, Israel (1981), is a lecturer at the Arab Academic College for Education in Israel in the Department of Mathematics. Since 2019, he has been a coordinator for Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science instruction at the college.   He has also been the head of the Excellence Program since the beginning of the current academic year.

He graduated from the Department of Software Engineering at the Technion (2002), completed an additional degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Haifa (2008), and subsequently completed a master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science with a thesis in Algebraic Topology at the same institution (2012).

Dr. Abd Algani completed his doctoral studies in 2022 and afterward conducted post-doctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Zehavit Gross at Bar-Ilan University, as well as an additional post-doctorate at the University of Catania in Italy in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science under the guidance of Prof. Maria Flavia. Additionally, he holds a teaching certificate and qualification in the field of measurement and evaluation in education from Oranim College.

Dr. Abd Algani’s main research areas include topology and algorithms, alongside mathematics education.

His academic contribution includes two books published by Cambridge Scholar Publishing, and numerous research articles published in leading academic journals, including Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, Springer, and IEEE. Dr. Abd Algani is a member of the scientific committees of international conferences and serves on the editorial board of prestigious international academic journals.
